Victorian graphic artist and illustrator, ‘Gangster’ Gaston Vanzet will be the official Artist in Residence at the inaugural Bike Fest Oz! when it kicks off on the Tweed and Gold Coasts in August, 2023.
A life-long motorcycle tragic, Gaston actually conceived and created the amazing BFO! 2023 official logo, which so accurately depicts the spirit and theme of the first BFO! and its dedication to celebrating 120 years of Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
“I’ve worked with Gaston a lot over the years and I have to say for such an incredibly talented artist, he is amazingly humble,” said BFO! promotor Chris Beattie. “He’s also got a very mischievous sense of humour, which I’m sure will be on show at BFO! next year.
“The guy actually has an amazing online gallery of motorcycle-themed art and his eye for detail and authenticity is unmatched, I reckon,” said Chris.
“Gaston is a real thinker and creativity is his thing. He’s got some amazing imagery that he is going to have on show at one of the key venues for BFO! and I’d encourage anyone with an appreciation for two-wheeled art to type ‘Gaston Vanzet Illustration’ into their search engines and sit back and prepare to be amazed.”
Chris explained that ‘Gangster’ Gaston was also a founding member of his Over The Hill Gang (othgang.com.au) Harley Sportster race team and was an enormous help and supporter of the Gangsters and their racing program.
