Since Bike Fest Oz! promotor and instigator, Chris Beattie also happens to be the prime mover and racer behind the intriguingly named Over The Hill Gang Harley race team, which competes at national road and drag race events around Australia, he promises that the team, which has already generated an enormous following and ‘Accomplice’ supporter club, will have a strong presence at BFO! 2023.

“Given the strong Harley theme for our inaugural Festival next year, there is going to be a solid turnout of Gangsters,” but I wouldn’t be too alarmed,” he said.

“Most of us have already logged up quite a few miles, so we tend to be a lot better behaved than perhaps we might have been during our early two-wheeled exploits.

“The reason we formed the Gang was that I still have quite a few mates from the ‘other side of the fence’ as far as motorcycling goes, and we all still have a shared passion for racing – and not on the streets — I’d just like to stress.

“So while we’re deadly serious about our road and drag racing campaigns, we’re just as serious about partying hard afterwards and enjoying the unique camaraderie that only motorcycling can provide.”

Visitors to BFO! 2023 will get to see the whole team, riders, crews and bikes included, as they plan a special display and other activities showcasing Harley racing in Australia.
